President Keith Kovatch
Keith has worked in the construction industry since 1974 when he worked as a welder and fitter for various fabrication shops for structural, presure vessel, and pipe fabrication and field experience working shutdowns for the petro-chemical industry. He became a supervisor and estimator while working in this field. Keith began his career in the diving industry in 1985 after completing commercial diver training at The Ocean Corp. in Houston Texas. He worked for several companies in the industry, and his previous experience as a first class welder/fitter lead him to excel in underwater welding, which is his specialty. Some of his areas of expertise include pipeline inspection, profiling, and repairs, hyperbaric welding, wet welding, burning, dock and dam inspection and repairs, general construction and maintenance in the marine, construction, oilfield, and petro-chemical industries.
Kevin began working in diving industry in 1992 after completing his service in the US Army and receiving diving certification from San Jacinto Community College in Pasadena, Texas. He has experience in pipeline inspection, profiling, and repairs, installing and supervising the installation of numerous repair clamps and hand jetting pipelines as well as setting jet sleds for pipeline burial. In addition to his pipeline experience, Kevin has performed dock inspection and repairs including jacketing piling, ship and boat inspection and repairs, underwater welding, ABS inspections, US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) lock projects diver and supervisor, salvage and retrievals. Underwater burning is one of his specialties, sheet piles, caissons, clearing debris resulting from bridge demolitions.
