Diving Support Vessel

Odyssey Video Documentary

2 min. Short_____________ Full Length Clip

The Diving Support Vessel Odyssey (formerly Research Vessel RV ODYSSEY, and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution's RV Edwin Link) was designed by world-renowned inventor and oceanographic pioneer Edwin Link as an operating platform for his submersibles and other deep ocean technology. Before its recent acquisition (June 2006) by Lone Star Offshore Marine Inc., the ship was maintained to the highest standards throughout its life by Odyssey Exploration and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, and is currently being maintained to the same high safety and operational standards. The vessel has been used extensively for government, university and oceanographic institution expeditions throughout the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Mediterranean for deep archaeological, biological and oceanographic projects.
